About Us
Who are we: MYCancer is a Madeira-based deep-tech company advancing functional precision oncology for blood cancers, beginning with acute myeloid leukaemia. Our MYLeukaemia platform combines bone-marrow bioengineering, microfluidics and functional-response research.
Our bone-marrow-on-chip model incorporates selected vascular, stromal and endosteal cues to investigate how patient-derived cells respond ex vivo to clinically relevant treatment regimens. We are targeting a structured research readout in approximately 72 hours.
Where we come from: The platform builds on two years of FCT-supported research at i3S and the University of Porto, together with continued development by MYCancer in Madeira.
What’s next: We are progressing through TRL4-stage development, laboratory scale-up, analytical-method development and prospective research studies. We welcome hospitals, reference laboratories and pharma partners interested in validation, logistics and translational R&D.
MYLeukaemia is currently an R&D-stage RUO platform. It is not a commercially available diagnostic and its outputs are not intended for patient management or treatment selection.
