1. What we process and why
- Enquiries, demos and partnerships: your name, professional contact details, organisation and message, so we can answer you and, where relevant, take steps requested before a contract. Depending on the context, the legal basis is pre-contractual steps or our legitimate interest in handling professional enquiries.
- Newsletter: your email address only when you actively subscribe. The legal basis is consent; you may withdraw it at any time.
- Website operation and security: limited technical information such as IP address, request logs, browser/device information and timestamps may be processed by our hosting/security providers to deliver and protect the site. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure and reliable operation.
- Optional third-party media: YouTube is not loaded until you press Play. After that action, Google/YouTube may receive technical information and process it under their own terms.
2. Do not send patient data through this website
Do not submit patient-identifiable information, health or genetic data, medical records or other special-category data through this public website. Human-sample or clinical data may only be handled through an expressly approved secure channel and the applicable legal, ethical and contractual framework.
3. Recipients, transfers and retention
We may use providers for hosting, security, email and website operations. They receive only the information necessary for their service and are subject to applicable data-protection obligations. Where a provider transfers personal data outside the EEA, an applicable GDPR transfer mechanism and safeguards must be used.
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purpose concerned and any applicable legal, contractual or limitation period. Newsletter data are kept until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent, subject to a minimal suppression record where needed to respect that choice.
4. Your rights
Subject to the GDPR conditions, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability or object to processing. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing. You may also lodge a complaint with the Portuguese supervisory authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD).
5. Security and changes
We use technical and organisational measures proportionate to the nature and risk of the data processed. We may update this notice when our website, services or legal requirements change; the date above identifies the current version.
